WBSSC Releases Interview List for Assistant Teacher Recruitment in West Bengal
The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially published the preliminary interview list for the Second State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025. This recruitment drive is aimed at filling vacancies for Assistant Teachers in Higher Secondary Schools (Classes XI–XII).
A total of 20,500 candidates has been shortlisted for the interview and document verification round, which will begin on 18 November 2025. The recruitment process seeks to fill approximately 35,726 vacancies across secondary and higher secondary schools in West Bengal.

Call Ratio: The ratio has been set at 1:6, meaning for every 100 vacancies, 160 candidates have been shortlisted.
Selection Criteria & Marks Distribution
The selection process is based on a multi-stage evaluation system:
- Written Examination: 60 marks
- Academic Qualifications: 10 marks
- Teaching Experience: 10 marks
- Interview / Demonstration / Viva-Voce: Marks allotted as per WBSSC rules
The final merit list will be prepared after combining scores from all stages of evaluation.
